Our Research Partners
SARDI, Data Effect, and ANU collaborate to enhance myrtle rust detection and surveillance, supported by botanic gardens across Australia. SARDI extracts DNA from samples collected nationwide, while ANU analyzes strains using advanced sequencing and leads STEM outreach in schools. Data Effect integrates findings into the AusPESTCheck platform for biosecurity reporting. With strong support from partners, the project aims to refine diagnostic tools for commercial use and ensure effective long-term surveillance.
